AN ACT TO AMEND THE NAVY ACT AND THE AIR FORCE ACT.

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows :-
|

short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Navy and Air Force (Amendment) Act, No. 21 of 1979.
|
|
Amendment of section 2 of Chapter 358.
|
2. The Navy Act is hereby amended in section 2 thereof, by the substitution, for the expression " Royal Ceylon
Navy ", occurring in that section and the marginal note thereto, of the expression " Sri Lanka Navy ".

Amendment of section 2 of Chapter 359.
|
3. The Air Force Act is hereby amended in section 2 thereof, by the substitution, for the expression " Royal Ceylon Air Force", occurring in that section and the marginal note thereto, of the expression "Sri Lanka Air Force ".

Amendments in written law and documents consequential to the change of the expressions Royal Ceylon Navy and Royal Ceylon Air Force.
|
4. In every context in which the expression Royal Ceylon Navy or Royal Ceylon Air Force is mentioned in any written law, or in any notice, communication, form or other document issued, made, required or authorized by or under any written law, there shall be substituted, for the expression "Royal Ceylon Navy" or "Royal Ceylon Air Force", the expression "Sri Lanka Navy" or "Sri Lanka Air Force ", respectively.
