Births and Deaths Registration (Amendment) Law A LAW TO AMEND THE BIRTHS AND DEATHS REGISTRATION ACT. BE it enacted by the National State Assembly of the Republic of Sri 'Lanka as follows: Short title. 1.This Law may be cited as the Births and Deaths Registration, (Amendment) Law, No. 40 of 1975. Amendment of section 70 of Chapter 110. 2. Section 70 of the Births and Deaths Registration Act is hereby amended in the definition of " estate " by the substitution, for the expression "estates medical district; ", of the expression "estates medical district, other than any such district or part of such district as may be excluded by the Minister by Order published in the Gazette;".
