Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) A LAW TO AMEND THE CRIMINAL PROCEDURE CODE. BE it enacted by the National State Assembly of the Republic of Sri Lanka as follows: - Short title. 1. This Law may be cited as the Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Law, No. 19 of 1978. Amendment of section 2 of Chapter 20. 2. Section 2 of the Criminal Procedure Code, as amended by Act No. 18 of 1968, is hereby further amended by the insertion, immediately after the definition of " Government Examiner of Questioned Documents " of the following new definition: - " Government medical officer " includes any officer of the Department of Forensic Medicine of any faculty of medicine of the University of Ceylon;'.
